AGM cancelled
This year’s AGM, which was to be held Saturday 21st March at Rotary House, has been cancelled.
This is as a direct result of the unfolding events around the COVID-19 virus and our desire, as a committee, to ensure the safety of members and to also contribute to the country's efforts to control this outbreak.
We will make the relevant reports available (Presidents, Treasurers, Works, Club Captains) along with other club information through our website and/or newsletter in the coming weeks. The remaining items that need to be addressed at the AGM including acceptance of previous years AGM minutes, reviewing specific constitutional clauses (4.1, 4.1.2, 4.1.5) and appointing a reviewer will be completed electronically.
As a committee we have decided to carryover (until next year) the proposed constitution changes (housekeeping items) along with the nightly fee increase which was to be tabled at the meeting. We are cognisant of the COVID-19 impact on the economy with talk of an upcoming recession and its potential effect on members.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we feel that this is in the best interest of the members of the Club.
